A five-star train, unique in the world. The new luxury train will go up and down Italy taking advantage of reserved routes from the north to the south of Belpaese, getting destinations such as Venice, Alba, Maratea, Montalcino, Val D’Orcia, Salento and Baroque Sicily.
It is called Treno della Dolce Vita and it is the project of “slow” tourism by rail made in partnership between Arsenale SpA, a company active in luxury hospitality, and Trenitalia (Fs Group). Both are united by the idea of discovering Italy in all its beauty, from the great cities of art to the small provinces, focusing on excellence and on the brand Italy. The Dolce Vita, by definition.

The first Dolce Vita train will be ready to go in January 2023. The trains will be recovered from disused ones and set up in fully ’70s style, with details reminding to the period of Orient-Express.
The schedules include ten itineraries: two to discover the North, along the Amarone routes and through the region of truffles and wine. Two in the Centre, among the villages of Val d’Orcia and the Tuscan Maremma. Then there are also trips along the Transiberian Way between Abruzzo and Molise, while one train will travel to Basilicata and its ancient traditions. An finally, Salento and Baroque Sicily.
