A holiday in complete safety in one of the most beautiful places in the world. This is the invitation that Taormina‘s tour operators are issuing to Italians and foreigners with a view to their forthcoming holidays.
In the Pearl of the Ionian Sea, the travel bans and restrictions caused by the corona virus pandemic that marked the period just past, which put all sectors of the economy in crisis, are a thing of the past. Now is the time for all travel enthusiasts to come and enjoy Sicily in complete safety and in compliance with the anti-contamination rules.
Many people, respecting physical distance, have already poured onto the extensive beaches and into the vast cultural areas of the Taormina Riviera
Salvo Caronia, hotelier of the Taormina Riviera, confirms that he is ready to receive tourists, and this year he is doing so with greater attention not only for his welcome guests but also for the environment. In fact, his Albatros Beach Hotel is one of the very first hotels in Italy which, during the forced pause due to Covid, has not only refurbished the structure but has also made it more sustainable by selling it to meet the new ecological requirements and in some way anticipating and implementing the so-called “ecological transition“.
“The whole city is ready to host and in recent weeks we have received many bookings from tourists from abroad and northern Italy, who ask to come to the events and shows already scheduled at the Greek Theatre and it seems that we are expecting a full house for July and August. We have made our hotel more sustainable and eliminated all single-use plastic in the restaurant, rooms and bathrooms. The air conditioning is produced from renewable sources, while the hot water is produced with zero impact through the exchange of heat from the cold or hot air of the air conditioners themselves”.
Giacomo Mendolia, of the Lido Mendolia Beach Club, invites all Sicilians to holiday in Sicily and particularly on the Riviera as it is full of well-equipped facilities and interesting cultural attractions such as the spectacular Isola Bella just a few metres from his beach resort.
Naxos Taormina Archaeological Park director Gabriella Tigano announces the opening of the Isola Bella museum after so many months of closure for renovation and conservation work.
“After so many months of closure and the many works that have been done we are looking forward to visitors. The Isola Bella is one of the jewels in the park’s crown and it is right that it should be enjoyed at this time of resumption of all activities,” she said.
