His sporting soul leads him to never stop and to reach new goals every year. The Excelsior Dolomites Life Resort in San Viglio di Marebbe (Bozen) always manages to improve, welcoming the arrival of winter with a new façade, with essential lines and natural materials (wood and stone), harmoniously linked to its latest addition, the Dolomites Lodge.
The prestigious Global Sustainable Tourism Council certification for eco-sustainability has also just been awarded. Always devoted to its beloved mountains, thanks to its unique location, directly on the slopes, the hotel in Val Badia is a top destination for skiing.
The new Kids and Junior Clubs have been designed for the family, with lots of fun indoor activities to play, discover and let off steam.
Among the many proposals is the new ski room which boasts direct access to the slopes of the Plan de Corones and the Sellaronda, the internal ski room with boot warmers, the sale of ski passes directly at reception and the booking of instructors/lessons at all the schools in the Plan de Corones.
Every week there are guided snowshoe hikes and ski safaris led by the hosts and certified guides Paolo and Otto. The resort is in fact classified with “5 monti” (5 mountains) which refers not only to the excellent rating of the structure – awarded as Best of the Best by the Traveller’s Choice Award 2020 of Tripadvisor: among the best 25 hotels in Italy and in the 1% of the best structures in the world -, but also to the high quality of the all-round service in the mountains, with a rich programme of comprehensive assistance and guided activities in the Dolomites.
After a tiring day on the snow, there’s nothing better than relaxing in the 2500 square metres of wellness in the exclusive Dolomites Sky Spa – reserved for adults – in the futuristic Excelsior Dolomites Lodge (connected by internal passages to the rest of the resort) and in the Spa Dolomiti, dedicated to families.
In summer 2021, all the rooms in the resort underwent a thorough restyling, in addition to the 16 deluxe rooms and suites (from 37 to 140 square metres) in the Excelsior Dolomites Lodge.
The cuisine is also one of the jewels in the Excelsior Resort’s crown, with menus inspired by ancient South Tyrolean recipes, enriched by influences from international haute cuisine and using only top-quality seasonal products from the region.
