Among the online proposals on the occasion of the seven hundredth anniversary of the death of the Supreme Poet Dante Alighieri in Ravenna, it is worth mentioning the cycle of meetings focused on the relationship between Trieste and Ravenna, a relationship that was particularly intense under the sign of Dante, symbol of Italianism for lands that still lived under the Habsburg domination.
The meetings will be visible on the youtube channel “Viva Dante” and on the Facebook profile of the Classense Library.
Until the end of the year the Dante calendar will expand with many other proposals and initiatives, hoping that the pandemic evolution will allow more events in presence.
And it is precisely the Classense Institution, in conjunction with the eighteenth century, that has set itself the objective of disseminating Dante’s works and studies, choosing to make available to the public the most recent material suitable for the open shelf, taken from the vast collection that the Library has cultivated over the years.
A new Dante section has thus been created, which is now located in two rooms that have been completely refurbished for the occasion.
