Guido Crepax. I mille volti di Valentina (The thousand faces of Valentina) is the comprehensive solo exhibition dedicated to one of the most famous and popular masters of comic strip art at the Saint-Bénin Centre in Aosta, whose closure has been extended to 31 October.
The exhibition, curated by Alberto Fiz in collaboration with the Crepax Archive, is organised by the Exhibition Activities and Promotion of Cultural Identity department of the Valle d’Aosta Autonomous Region’s Department of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, Sport and Commerce.
More than 100 works will be on display in a spectacular setting specifically designed for the Saint-Bénin Centre, where the spectator will be able to walk through thematic environments in dialogue with each other, with platforms, mannequins, three-dimensional silhouettes and designer tapestries.
Together with the most emblematic original plates, the exhibition, divided into seven sections, offers the opportunity to analyse Guido Crepax’s multifaceted artistic investigation by presenting unpublished archive documents, record covers, design and furnishing objects, clothes, screens, studies for advertising, large three-dimensional games.
