Vacanze col Cuore announces the opening of the new Lago Idro Glamping Village in Anfo
Loek Van De Loo is considered by the open-air tourism sector as the person who first spread and encouraged the growth and change of the open-air holiday in glamping. Especially in Italy, where he has contributed to creating a model that is highly appreciated by holidaymakers from across the border. Confirming its pivotal role, Adac – the German touring club with around 21 million members – awarded it the top spot in the industry’s Hall of Fame in 2020.
Since 2018, he has reached a new professional milestone by setting up in Italy – between Tuscany and Lake Garda – a Group of six sui generis glamping resorts, Vacanze col Cuore, in which he systematised the “horizontal” hotel model.
According to Loek Van De Loo, glamping incorporates many of the points of contact between open-air tourism and the high-level services usually found in hotel stays, structuring the organisation of spaces and services – both private and communal – horizontally over a large area surrounded by nature, whereas hotels traditionally have a vertical approach.
Horizontality is respected starting with the design of the layout of the accommodation, mobile homes and lodge tents spread throughout the area, each enjoying privacy and tranquillity.
The car-free space includes services such as restaurants, cocktail bars and water parks, a model that brings the glamping space closer to a top-level car-free resort.
“We have brought to Italy a trend, glamping, that has acquired very precise characteristics thanks to the culture of beauty that has always existed here,” comments Loek Van De Loo, founder of the Vacanze col Cuore Group, Dutch by birth but Italian by adoption for forty years.
For 2021, Vacanze col Cuore has planned to open the new Lago Idro Glamping Boutique in Anfo (Brescia) with a total restyling.
Surrounded by the mountains of the Valle Sabbia, this was once a traditional campsite. The Group has created a glamping hub that is attractive to sports enthusiasts. Fishing, sup, kayaking, paragliding but above all the possibility of bike tours (also guided) in the surrounding areas and with the adjacent windsurfing club, guests will have equipment and nature at their disposal to immerse themselves in an unforgettable sports experience combined with a glamping holiday in the comfort of mobile homes and lodge tents overlooking the lake.
