Sustainability and innovation, but above all restart. These are the three ingredients that characterise the eighth edition of the Gourmet Skisafari, which will take place on the slopes of Alta Badia on Saturday 11 December.
Skiers will have the opportunity to travel on skis from one hut to another, where, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., they will be able to taste the creations of the participating chefs. Real works of art will be presented, not only for the palate, but also for the eyes. There will of course be an opportunity to meet the chefs in person and to be told the story of their dish.
As 2021 is a year of change in all areas, it is also an opportunity for revival and innovation in the gastronomy sector.
The choice of chefs for the eighth edition of the famous culinary initiative was made with great care, selecting young, charismatic and inspiring chefs who can best interpret the idea of rebirth in the kitchen. These are future-oriented chefs who want to bring their creativity and philosophy to Alta Badia, using the excellence of Italian products in their dishes.
Simone Cantafio (Restaurant La Stüa de Michil c/o Hotel La Perla, Corvara, 1 Michelin star) and Marco Martini (Marco Martini Restaurant, 1 Michelin star, Rome) are taking part in the event for the first time, while Alberto Faccani (Magnolia Ristorante, 2 Michelin stars, Cesenatico) is taking part as a representative of all the chefs who have taken part in previous editions.
As well as focusing on innovation, the initiative aims to give a strong and concrete signal for a sustainable approach to gastronomy. Participating chefs have been asked to create their dishes while reducing waste and paying special attention to the protection of our planet.
